Office Policies
Your complimentary consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, and to learn more about orthodontics and which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your consultation, Dr. Clements and her team will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Take digital X-rays and photographs to be used to determine if treatment is necessary
- Complete an oral orthodontic examination
- Work with you to create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
During your complimentary consultation, we will explain everything that you will need to know about your orthodontic treatment, so that you can choose what's best for you. If you have a more complicated bite problem, or if you would just like more time to discuss your case, we can also schedule an additional consult appointment so that you can have adequate time to make the decision that is right for you. If you'd like to schedule a consultation with Dr. Karen Clements, please call (425) 821-7888.
What happens after the initial consultation?
If you do choose to receive orthodontic treatment, you will need to schedule your first appointment. Your first appointment is when Dr. Karen Clements will place your new orthodontic appliance(s). Typically, this appointment is no longer than one hour, and then you're on your way toward your new smile!
Scheduling Appointments
Visiting the orthodontist every 4-8 weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Regular checkups last between 20-40 minutes. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are schedule around your busy schedule; so that you will spend less time in the dental chair, and more time enjoying the things you love to do.
We understand that "life happens", so if you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, call our practice (425) 821-7888; we're looking forward to working with you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every four-six months, especially during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
